Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is building a Beauty Therapist Talent Pool to identify and engage skilled professionals for future opportunities across their stores. This initiative ensures a ready pipeline of qualified candidates who can deliver exceptional salon services and uphold high standards of customer care when positions become available.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 2-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum of 12 months’ practical experience in a professional beauty salon
• Computer literate
• Strong numerical skills
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• 3-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in a professional beauty salon

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality salon experience to all customers
• Perform treatments such as facials, waxing, massages, manicures, and pedicures according to company standards
• Respond to customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally
• Stay informed about new products, treatments, and service techniques
• Monitor and manage salon stock levels effectively
• Ensure all equipment is clean, hygienic, and fully operational at all times

Competencies

Essential:

• Knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for treatments
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Goal-oriented with the ability to meet targets and deadlines

Advantageous:

• Experience with soft laser, bio-magnetic therapy, microdermabrasion, slimming treatments, and spray tanning
• Additional training in laser or advanced salon equipment
• Bilingual abilities

• Physically fit to perform various beauty treatments
