Introduction
The Pharmacist Assistant QPB X2 is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services within their scope of practice and performing daily dispensary administration according to Clicks’ Standard Operating Plans (SOPs). This role focuses on script administration and general dispensing duties, ensuring high patient satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Objectives / Responsibilities:

  • Interact professionally with customers while maintaining strict confidentiality, following SOPs and agreed timelines.
  • Administer scripts and perform related claiming or capturing procedures accurately.
  • Ensure complete and precise handling of all patient profiles.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Resolve and follow up on queries effectively.

Duties:

  • Communicate with customers via telephone or other channels regarding medications and healthcare services.
  • Accurately capture scripts received at the Central Pharmacy centre.
  • Handle prescription queries efficiently.
  • Manage patient profiles.
  • Assist with chronic authorizations.
  • Liaise with other departments as required.
  • Support ad hoc operational requirements.

Knowledge:

  • Product knowledge, including OTC medicines.
  • SAPC and relevant legal knowledge.
  • Understanding of chronic authorization processes and procedures.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Ethical working practices and compliance.

Skills:

  • Computer literacy, including MS Office.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Team player with integrity and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual, with English as a required language.
  • Ability to work with patients and adapt to various departmental duties.
  • Initiative to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Effective time management and adaptability.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
