Job Description

Truworths offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Planner to work closely with our Buying and Planning teams, supported by leading industry merchandise systems. This role is ideal for a solution-oriented professional who enjoys complex problem-solving within a fast-paced fashion retail environment. The Planner plays a critical role in driving sales forecasting, financial planning and strategic product management to ensure optimal trading performance.

Drawing on strong fashion planning expertise, the Planner will develop, implement and control all aspects of merchandise planning to support profitability and efficient store servicing. The role requires collaboration across multiple business functions, from product inception through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Merchandise Buyers and suppliers to support trading decisions

• Utilise internationally recognised merchandise systems alongside bespoke in-house systems

• Ensure the correct merchandise mix is delivered to the right stores, at the right price and at the right time

• Manage sales forecasting, stock flow and financial planning to maximise performance

• Support end-to-end product execution from planning through to store delivery

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably within a fashion retail environment

• Relevant numerical tertiary qualification

• Experience with planning systems such as Oracle, ProClarity and PLM will be advantageous
