Junior Financial Advisor Opportunity at Hire Resolve
A leading financial services firm with nearly a century of expertise is seeking a Junior Financial Advisor to join their dynamic team. Specializing in investment-led financial planning, the firm helps professionals, business owners, and families grow and protect their wealth through retirement planning, estate structuring, risk management, and offshore investment strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Research financial advice topics to support client reports and Records of Advice.
- Collaborate with advisors and administration managers to draft Records of Advice.
- Assist with compliance duties and client review processes.
- Verify policy schedules and reports prepared by the administration team.
- Liaise with financial advisors, service providers, and clients as needed.
- Conduct research and set up advice and administration processes.
- Support senior advisors in developing financial plans and investment strategies.
- Gather financial data and conduct client research for planning.
- Assist with client meetings and follow-up tasks.
- Stay updated on financial products, market trends, and regulations.
- Participate in training to enhance advisory knowledge.
Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- Progress toward industry certifications (PGDip Financial Planning, CFP®).
- Minimum 3 years of experience at a CAT I FSP (investments, insurance, employee benefits, medical aid).
- Strong knowledge of investment-related financial advice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Passion for financial planning, investments, and client service.
- Must be available to work Full-Time (08h00–16h30) at the Morningside, Durban office.
Required Competencies:
- Understanding of FAIS, FICA, and financial services regulations.
- Knowledge of compliance documentation for financial advice.
- Familiarity with financial planning business administration.
- Strong teamwork and reliability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with financial planning software (AtWork, EliteWealth, Xplan).
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and strong analytical skills.
- Problem-solving ability and adaptability.
