Job Purpose
The Branch Manager is responsible for leading and executing the UniHealth operating plan by driving sales growth, profitability, and regulatory compliance through efficient branch operations and exceptional customer service, aligned with UniHealth strategy and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive financial performance by achieving sales, turnover, and profitability targets through effective leadership and operational excellence.

  • Manage day-to-day branch operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and service quality.

  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, legal, and internal policies to minimise business risk.

  • Create and embed a customer-first culture that delivers exceptional service and strengthens brand loyalty.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers, regulators, landlords, and local authorities.

  • Identify operational gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance, customer experience, and profitability.

  • Provide accurate and timely management information to support informed decision-making and risk control.

  • Effectively manage financial, human, and operational resources to achieve branch objectives.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Essential: Degree or Diploma in Retail Management, Finance Management, or a related field.

  • Desirable: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.

  • Desirable: Advanced Diploma or Master’s Degree in Business, Retail, or Healthcare Management.

Experience

  • Essential: 5–8 years’ experience in a management or leadership role within pharmacy operations.

  • Essential: Minimum 5 years’ experience in budgeting, financial control, and cost management.

  • Essential: 3–5 years’ experience managing retail operations, customer service, and diverse teams.

  • Desirable: Experience managing multi-site or regional retail operations.

  • Desirable: Pharmacy-specific management experience, including clinic and healthcare service oversight.

Job Knowledge

  • Budgeting, financial management, and cost control.

  • Pharmacy legislation, health regulations, and compliance standards.

  • Pharmacy retail operations and service delivery models.

  • Product merchandising, stock control, and supplier management.

  • Revenue generation, performance management, and financial optimisation.

  • Risk management, regulatory audits, and security protocols.
