Purpose of the Job
We’re seeking a dynamic, hands-on CRM Campaign Manager to join our Cape Town-based Enablement team within the Channel Marketing function. This role is ideal for a communications expert who thrives on crafting sharp, effective campaigns at scale.
You’ll own end-to-end outbound campaign delivery across SMS, Email, Push, In-App, and Web, collaborating with our Digital team to maximize reach and impact. If you’re proactive, data-savvy, and passionate about driving results, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
Comms Leadership & Delivery
- Lead outbound communications from planning to activation, ensuring high-quality campaign execution.
- Master messaging, timing, segmentation, and channel behavior to optimize performance.
- Manage key channels:
- Email & SMS via Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Push & In-App via Airship
- Web content via Contentful
- Develop structured campaign plans aligned with customer lifecycle stages and business goals.
- Drive automation and insights-led campaigns, moving beyond one-off executions.
Campaign Strategy & Maturity
- Shift from reactive to proactive campaign strategies with automated, insight-driven journeys.
- Collaborate with Content, Brand, CRM, and Audience Marketing teams to tailor messaging and creative.
Data-Led Planning & Reporting
- Utilize customer and performance data to refine audience targeting, timing, and content.
- Deliver detailed monthly/quarterly reports with insights and strategic recommendations.
- Identify and act on optimization opportunities.
Testing & Optimization
- Lead A/B and multivariate testing to boost open rates, engagement, and conversion.
- Implement continuous improvement through structured test-and-learn cycles.
Tech Stack Enablement
- Leverage marketing platforms effectively:
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud (campaigns, journeys, personalization)
- Airship (mobile messaging)
- Contentful (modular content)
- Bynder (asset management)
Skills & Experience
- Proven campaign management experience in a CRM or digital marketing environment.
- Strong expertise in messaging across Email, SMS, Push, In-App, and Web.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Airship, Contentful, and Bynder.
- Skilled in data-driven campaign planning, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Confident collaborating across teams and presenting insights with impact.
