Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Long-Term Insurance Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling a variety of long-term insurance products while delivering exceptional client service and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell long-term insurance products, including life cover, funeral policies, disability, and critical illness insurance.
- Identify and secure new clients through networking, referrals, cold calling, and targeted marketing campaigns.
- Conduct detailed financial needs analyses to offer tailored insurance solutions.
- Clearly present product features and benefits to potential clients.
- Follow up on leads and close sales to meet individual and team targets.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure policy information is up to date.
- Assist clients with policy queries, amendments, claims, and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, products, and compliance standards.
- Provide after-sales support to foster long-term client relationships and encourage referrals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
- RE5 Certificate (essential).
- FAIS-compliant qualification (minimum 30 credits or NQF Level 4 in a financial services-related field).
- Class of Business (COB): Long-Term Insurance (advantageous).
- Clear criminal and credit record.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous).
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in long-term insurance sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in client needs analysis and providing customised insurance solutions.
- Knowledge of insurance products, sales techniques, and regulatory frameworks.
