About the Program
Value Logistics is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to identify, recruit, and grow key customers in the Free State region. This role focuses on building strategic relationships with a diverse customer base, including spaza shops, forecourts, and wholesalers, while driving sales, margin growth, and effective debtor management.
Purpose of the Job
The Sales Representative is responsible for acquiring new customers, nurturing existing accounts, and ensuring sustainable growth through exceptional relationship management and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit new customers within the assigned region, achieving monthly and quarterly acquisition targets
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts to meet or exceed sales volume and margin objectives
- Build and sustain strong customer relationships, ensuring regular contact and high satisfaction
- Manage customer credit to maintain debtor days within agreed limits and ensure on-time payments
- Conduct regular customer visits, including order-taking and presenting new product lines
- Monitor, record, and report customer feedback to management for continuous improvement
- Deliver excellent customer service by resolving queries within agreed turnaround times
- Implement business strategies such as marketing campaigns and promotions, tracking performance against objectives
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales role within the FMCG sector
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets as a sales representative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel extensively
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and mobile sales tools
