About the Role:
The Tyre & Mechanical Assistant will support all mechanical repairs, vehicle servicing, and tyre maintenance. The role includes conducting tyre surveys, performing corrective actions, attending roadside breakdowns, and ensuring vehicles are cleaned before leaving the depot.

Key Responsibilities:

Tyre Duties:

• Strip and fit tyres efficiently
• Maintain correct tyre pressures
• Clean workshop and tyre bay tools
• Attend to breakdowns and mechanical or tyre issues on-site
• Conduct tyre surveys and replace smooth tyres
• Complete tyre change slips accurately
• Ensure wheel nuts are properly torqued
• Manage and maintain tyre stock

Workshop Assistance:

• Support mechanical repairs, servicing, and general maintenance
• Assist with workshop functions and operations
• Complete job card service schedules and parts listings
• Control spare parts and tyre inventory
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the workshop, parts store, tyre store, and washbay
• Support operational tasks as required

Washbay Duties:

• Wash and clean vehicles thoroughly
• Follow company dress code and Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain daily housekeeping standards
• Uphold Health and Safety requirements consistently

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Experience in mechanical and tyre work

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of basic Health and Safety procedures relevant to own work
• Ability to identify hazards and follow instructions for safe handling
