Role Purpose
The Retail Business Consultant fosters passionate, long-term partnerships with Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) through product expertise, market insight, and exceptional service. By delivering business analysis and continuous improvement, the consultant ensures seamless collaboration and mutual growth.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3-year BCom degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or Legal (essential).
- Willingness to pursue further education or recognition of prior learning with 3+ years of experience in MDS.
- CFP® certification is advantageous.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years in the financial services industry.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant sales experience.
- Familiarity with Momentum Myriad and Investo products is a plus.
- Strong business acumen in risk assessment, claims, underwriting, tax, and assurance.
- Knowledge of financial services and insurance products.
Knowledge:
- Financial services industry standards.
- Relevant legislation.
- Sales processes and best practices.
- Product-specific expertise.
Duties & Responsibilities
Engage:
- Build visibility with IFAs to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Conduct planned IFA office visits to reinforce partnerships.
- Track and optimize weekly activities to exceed sales targets.
- Maintain professionalism in meetings with structured agendas and minutes.
Enthuse:
- Analyze market dynamics, competitor activity, and opportunities to inspire IFAs.
- Foster deep, lasting relationships to elevate IFAs from supporters to ambassadors.
Educate:
- Position Momentum as a thought leader by providing valuable insights.
- Serve as the primary resource for IFAs within Momentum.
- Uphold accountability, innovation, and excellence in all interactions.
- Promote superior financial planning and advice outcomes.
Enable:
- Achieve or surpass production and IFA productivity targets.
- Ensure IFAs perceive Momentum as a trusted industry leader.
