Duties and Responsibilities:
- General Underwriting
- Processing endorsements and amendments on existing policies
- Performing broker productivity assessments for brokers with outsourced/binder agreements
- Addressing broker queries within prescribed SLAs and turnaround times
- Managing renewals (monthly/annually)
- Requesting risk surveys for new and existing business, analyzing risk requirements for informed underwriting decisions
- Implementing corrective actions based on claims history
- Processing policy cancellations in line with internal procedures and timelines
- Proactively retaining at-risk clients
- Providing quotes for policy adjustments upon broker requests
- Requesting VAR surveys
- Maintaining disciplined diary management
- Overseeing assigned area of responsibility
- Ensuring proper manual and electronic filing systems
- Accurately filing processed documentation
- Responding promptly to emails and phone messages
- Keeping detailed records of new matters in the department
- Upholding professional behavior and work ethics at all times
- Meeting deadlines and adhering to SLAs and Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintaining punctuality
