About the Role
As a Planner Clothing at Pick n Pay, you will implement, monitor, and analyse inventory processes to safeguard the integrity of store stock. This role is crucial in identifying financial stock risk, driving actions that improve cash flow, and enhancing stock holding efficiencies. Through accurate reporting, strong controls, and proactive problem-solving, you will ensure optimal stock accuracy, availability, and profitability.
Minimum Requirements
- BCom Degree or relevant qualification in Business, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of proven experience in Clothing Retail Planning
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Willingness to work extended hours and conduct regular store visits
- Previous experience in a clothing retail environment is essential
- SAP knowledge is an advantage

Key Responsibilities
- Plan seasonal sales budgets by category in line with business objectives
- Collaborate with the Buyer to implement financial strategies and achieve set budgets
- Contribute to establishing a clear and effective pricing architecture
- Develop and manage assortment plans to align with strategy and maintain target margins
- Monitor performance through weekly reports, adjusting for fast and slow sellers
- Prepare and plan promotions and markdowns to optimize sales and stock levels
