Purpose of Job
The Master Data Scheduler Plant Maintenance is responsible for coordinating with project stakeholders and service providers to ensure the delivery of accurate, efficient, and governance-compliant engineering information. The role includes creating, maintaining, and auditing Plant Maintenance Master Data, generating high-quality reports, and supporting system processes to optimize maintenance operations.
Key Accountabilities
Business Results
- Verify and validate engineering information received from stakeholders.
- Locate and migrate relevant data to the engineering information platform.
- Extract and populate engineering information for system conversions and other initiatives.
- Create and maintain Plant Maintenance Master Data, including equipment registration, function locations, plant breakdown structures, and bill of materials in SAP.
- Maintain main work centers and manage assets in the SD system.
- Execute special reports and support UATs on new projects.
- Control and manage project documentation effectively.
Governance and Assurance
- Ensure stakeholders understand REE engineering information requirements and workflows.
- Apply governance and compliance rules within the engineering platform.
Leadership
- Provide informal coaching and guidance to Master Data Scheduler Plant Maintenance staff and stakeholders.
SHE Performance
- Identify risks in the workspace and execute SHE strategies to achieve zero harm.
Continuous Improvement
- Influence optimization of working processes and REE information requirements.
- Support knowledge management and continuous learning initiatives.
- Maintain proficiency in engineering information systems, standards, and work processes.
- Demonstrate understanding of the MOC process and maintain appropriate computer literacy levels.
Formal Education
- Matric / Grade 12
Work Experience
- 3 years’ experience in engineering information management.
- 2 years’ experience in plant maintenance master data environment (preferred).
- Knowledge of engineering information standards and REE work instructions.
- Proficiency in at least one engineering platform used in REE.
- Basic understanding of REE processes.
- Computer literacy required.
