About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is building a Beauty Therapist Talent Pool to identify and engage skilled professionals for future opportunities across various stores. This initiative ensures a ready pipeline of qualified Beauty Therapists who can deliver exceptional salon services and contribute to outstanding customer experiences.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• 2-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum 12 months’ practical experience in a professional beauty salon
• Computer literacy
• Strong numerical skills
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• 3-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum 3 years’ practical experience in a professional beauty salon

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional salon experience to all customers
• Perform treatments including facials, waxing, massages, manicures, and pedicures in line with company standards
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally
• Stay updated on new products, treatments, and service techniques
• Manage and maintain optimal stock levels within the salon
• Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and hygienic at all times

Core Competencies

Essential:

• Knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for treatments
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Team-oriented with the ability to meet targets and deadlines

Advantageous:

• Experience with soft laser, bio-magnetic therapy, microdermabrasion, slimming, and spray tanning
• Training on laser or advanced salon equipment
• Bilingual abilities

Special Conditions of Employment

• Willing and able to work retail hours
• Willing to travel to and from store locations
• Physically fit to perform beauty treatments including massage and facials
• South African citizen
• Clear criminal and credit record
