About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies (CJ Speciality) is seeking a CJS Customer Liaison Officer to join the Head Office team. The successful candidate will act as the key point of contact between the company, clients, and suppliers—providing accurate product and service information while resolving queries efficiently. The role focuses on maintaining high service standards and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate
- Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant Qualification
- 2–5 years’ relevant experience in customer service
Advantageous:
- Business Development qualification
- Experience with SAP, Unisolve, and EWM systems
- Specialised knowledge in hospital and surgical environments
Key Responsibilities
Pharmacy Compliance:
- Operate under the supervision of a pharmacist in line with Pharmacy Council regulations
- Assist with the sale and control of Schedule 1–6 medicines
- Support ordering, preparation, labelling, and dispensing of medication
- Provide customers with clear and accurate usage instructions
Product Sourcing:
- Improve sourcing processes to maximise efficiency
- Apply ethical negotiation techniques to secure optimal deals
- Implement procurement strategies and manage supplier performance
- Assess supply chain risks and develop alternative sourcing solutions
- Coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and customers
- Work closely with the warehouse to prioritise orders
Stakeholder Management:
- Represent the company professionally in line with its values
- Build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships
- Ensure high service standards and best practices
- Resolve complaints promptly and recommend service improvements
- Conduct customer satisfaction research and implement findings
- Maintain open, trust-based communication with stakeholders
Customer Service:
- Handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls efficiently
- Process orders within required timelines
- Maintain accurate records of communications and order progress
- Address issues related to unfulfilled orders
- Follow established communication protocols and turnaround times
Reporting and Administration:
- Monitor and report on customer service efficiency
- Record all queries and resolutions daily
- Identify root causes of issues and propose long-term solutions
- Compile reports on product performance, quality, and feedback
- Collaborate with stakeholders to review sales performance
- Present product updates and new ranges to management
