Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Warehouse Management and/or Supply Chain qualification, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management
- Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, including Cargo-Write
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Job-Related Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience working with a Warehouse Management System
- Strong experience within the Retail Logistics environment
- Proven expertise across all warehouse operations, including inbound, stock management, outbound order fulfilment, returns, packaging, and batch and expiry control
- Strong housekeeping and facility management skills aligned to 5S principles
- Extensive stock management experience, including:
- Perpetual and wall-to-wall stock audits
- SKU master maintenance and consolidation
- Slotting based on ABC analysis, volumetric data, and product categorisation
- Space utilisation, density optimisation, and measurement
- Pick-face replenishment strategies
- Batch, serial number, and expiry management (FEFO)
- Daily system variance analysis between warehouse and client systems
- Strong problem-solving ability, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative actions
- Full managerial capability covering planning, organising, leading, controlling, and monitoring
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholder expectations
- Ability to ensure full site compliance with DSV policies, regulations, work instructions, maintenance schedules, and local authority requirements
- Proven ability to manage stress, conflict, and sustained operational pressure
- SHERQ knowledge, including internal audits and risk mitigation
- Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing client and supplier contracts, SLAs, and operational risk
- Sound financial management skills with a focus on cost control and budget adherence
- Effective HR and Industrial Relations capability, including performance management, training, and employee development

Main Purpose of the Role
The Manager is responsible for maintaining operational performance in line with client SLAs and internal KPIs. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement, productivity, and cost savings while ensuring effective management of operations, people, quality, health and safety compliance, and financial performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain discipline and manage employee performance consistently
- Ensure equipment, facilities, and infrastructure are properly maintained
- Deliver consistent service in line with client service level agreements
- Proactively manage daily operational performance to achieve KPI targets
- Develop and execute employee development plans
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Support clients with customised solutions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Plan and execute cycle counts, ABC analysis, and stock control processes
- Investigate operational issues and complete CAPA documentation as required
- Compile and maintain operational and KPI reports in line with contractual requirements
- Ensure adherence to HSE responsibilities and compliance standards
- Support audit compliance and perform ad hoc operational duties as required
- Maintain effective communication with clients regarding supply and service performance
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships
- Lead daily, weekly, and monthly inbound and outbound operational meetings with clients
- Manage and control risks related to value-added services activities
- Monitor inventory levels and address shortages or inaccuracies proactively
- Maintain and update material master data and bin master records
- Manage quarantined and damaged stock, including inspections and disposal processes
- Ensure inventory processes are consistently followed across operations and administration
- Manage facility maintenance, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards
