Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a skilled Beauty Therapist for their Pretoria Salon. This role involves promoting the wide range of skincare and body treatments offered at Dis-Chem Beauty Salons while delivering exceptional client care. The Beauty Therapist will perform professional treatments, maintain high salon standards, and contribute to an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide customers with an outstanding salon experience
• Perform facials, waxing, massages, manicures, and pedicures according to Dis-Chem standards
• Address and report customer queries, complaints, and compliments
• Stay updated on new products, treatments, and service techniques
• Manage stock levels efficiently to meet salon needs
• Ensure all salon equipment is clean, functional, and meets hygiene standards

Minimum Requirements
Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• 2-year National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum 12 months’ practical experience in a professional beauty salon
• Computer literate with strong numerical skills
• Willingness to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• 3-year National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum 3 years’ technical/practical experience in a professional beauty salon

Competencies
Essential:

• Knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and treatment contraindications
• Strong command of English (written and spoken)
• Team player with excellent customer service skills
• Target and deadline driven

Advantageous:

• Experience with soft laser, bio-magnetic therapy, microdermabrasion, slimming, and spray tanning
• Additional training on laser or other salon equipment
• Bilingual

Special Conditions of Employment

• Willingness to work retail hours and travel to the store
• Physically able to perform massages, facials, and body treatments
• South African citizen
• Clear credit and criminal records
