Butchery Manager
Pick n Pay Careers is seeking an experienced Butchery Manager to lead and supervise the Butchery department within a corporate store. This role is responsible for planning, organising, directing, and supporting day-to-day operations to achieve departmental and company objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Minimum 5 years’ butchery experience
Competencies:
- Customer-focused with excellent service orientation
- Strong communication skills
- Business acumen and commercial awareness
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Understanding of food retail operations
- Leadership and team management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Prepare and handle products according to company guidelines
- Maintain butchery merchandising standards and flow
- Ensure hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety compliance
- Complete all butchery administration accurately and on time
- Ensure product availability to support sales and achieve budget targets
- Lead, monitor, coach, and develop direct reports for optimal team performance and effective utilisation of employees
