Butchery Manager

Pick n Pay Careers is seeking an experienced Butchery Manager to lead and supervise the Butchery department within a corporate store. This role is responsible for planning, organising, directing, and supporting day-to-day operations to achieve departmental and company objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Minimum 5 years’ butchery experience

• Customer-focused with excellent service orientation
• Strong communication skills
• Business acumen and commercial awareness
• Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
• Understanding of food retail operations
• Leadership and team management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Prepare and handle products according to company guidelines
• Maintain butchery merchandising standards and flow
• Ensure hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety compliance
• Complete all butchery administration accurately and on time
• Ensure product availability to support sales and achieve budget targets
• Lead, monitor, coach, and develop direct reports for optimal team performance and effective utilisation of employees
