Job Overview
FlySafair is seeking a detail-oriented Network Planning Coordinator to support the development and management of efficient flight schedules. This role focuses on optimising aircraft and crew utilisation, enhancing on-time performance, and ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting both commercial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support cross-departmental collaboration to develop schedules that optimise cost efficiency, aircraft and crew utilisation, and on-time performance

• Assist with the management of flight schedules, crew utilisation, and aircraft deployment

• Execute schedule additions and amendments as instructed

• Collaborate with the Yield team to optimise flight frequency and timing in line with demand and commercial strategy

• Support long-term aircraft planning to ensure technical and operational requirements are incorporated

• Attend technical meetings to plan for aircraft availability and configuration changes

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to accommodate charter and additional flight requests

• Compile and maintain operational statistics for executive and departmental reporting

• Ensure slot alignment and regulatory compliance in accordance with applicable standards

• Manage the acquisition and retention of airport slots in coordination with CAMU and air traffic control

• Calculate flight and duty periods during schedule planning to ensure compliance with SACAA regulations

• Conduct ongoing analysis of schedule performance in collaboration with the Commercial team

• Identify and recommend network planning improvements to enhance operational efficiency

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an aviation operations environment

• Knowledge of schedule planning within an airline operational context

• Understanding of airline operational environments

• Knowledge of slot allocation, coordination processes, and relevant regulatory standards

Advantageous Experience

• Experience using AIMS airline software
