Key Roles and Responsibilities
-
Ensure RM inventory quality standards are maintained according to VPO requirements
-
Accurately block RM inventory in SAP with physical blocking mechanisms for quality-related and obsolete stock
-
Comply with freshness and rotation policies as per VPO standards
-
Record inventory counts accurately, including quantities per storage location, Best Before Dates (BBD), SKUs, and bin cards
-
Apply and approve inventory concession policy according to VPO product age standards
-
Re-pack all RM salvage stock in line with VPO standards
-
Decant obsolete stock as per standard procedures
-
Ensure all received stock is GRN’d according to standard policies
-
Conduct independent inventory counts on all RM inventory, reconcile to SAP, investigate discrepancies, and escalate unresolved differences with commentary and action plans
-
Accurately transact all physical movements of RM inventory in SAP, validate packaging receipts, verify write-offs, and process gate sheets
-
Process breakages, obsolescence, and salvage stock in SAP accurately
-
Review and resolve all daily controls and open shipments
-
Process claims promptly with signed-off documentation and ensure SAB reimbursement
-
Monitor supply chain overheads budget vs. actual costs, identify gaps, and report action plans
-
Plan and manage daily workload for the team
-
Maintain daily documentation control and ensure governance compliance
-
Conduct weekly and monthly stock counts
-
Monitor and control raw materials and stock handling and storage
-
Implement waste management, housekeeping, and 5S principles
-
Perform risk assessments and issue PTWs as required
-
Carry out HR and administrative duties
-
Liaise with internal and external customers
-
Support team goals and VPO principles
-
Reconcile daily stock and monitor weekly PRP compliance
-
Ensure all documentation is signed off, filed, and securely stored according to Inventory Control Policy, including stock packs, shipment packs, and gate registers
-
Conduct random verification using security cameras at key points on site
-
Perform 3-point independent checks on all shipments for departure and arrival, ensuring compliance
Profile
-
National Diploma in Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
-
2–3 years’ experience in a stock control environment
-
Strong knowledge of stock control processes
-
Proficient in MS Office and SAP
-
Licensed FLT driver
-
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
-
Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills
-
Team player with excellent organisational and planning abilities
-
Ability to operate in a pressurised, cross-functional, and demanding environment
-
Strong customer service ethics
-
Ability to self-manage and work independently
