Sales Representative – Value Logistics

Purpose of the Role
• The Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and growing key customers across the Free State region, including spaza shops, forecourts, and wholesalers
• Build strategic customer relationships, drive sales and margin growth, and effectively manage debtors within the assigned customer base

Key Responsibilities
• Identify and recruit new customers to achieve monthly and quarterly acquisition targets
• Maintain and grow the existing customer base to meet or exceed sales and margin objectives
• Develop and nurture strong customer relationships through regular contact and high service standards
• Manage customer credit to ensure debtor days remain within agreed limits and payments are received on time
• Conduct regular customer visits and calls, including order-taking and presenting new product lines
• Monitor, record, and report customer feedback for continuous improvement
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve queries within agreed timelines
• Execute business strategies, including marketing campaigns and promotions, tracking results against objectives

Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG sales
• Proven track record of success as a sales representative
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
• Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and mobile sales tools

Skills and Competencies
• Strong knowledge of the FMCG market and industry dynamics
• Effective selling skills with a proven ability to close deals
• Excellent negotiation skills for achieving mutually beneficial outcomes
• High resilience and persistence in meeting targets
• Active listening skills to understand customer needs

• Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
