About the Role
Pick n Pay Careers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor Deli to oversee daily deli operations, ensuring high standards in food quality, customer service, and team performance. This role is ideal for a results-driven individual with strong retail food experience and a passion for delivering excellence.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification
• Minimum of five years’ experience or training in food retail
• Proven experience in managing staff and resources within a retail environment

• Effective communication skills, including active listening and clear messaging
• Solid business acumen with the ability to drive sales and efficiency

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with hygiene, housekeeping, and workplace safety standards
• Oversee and monitor the execution of promotional activities in line with the promotional calendar
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all backup and storage areas
• Understand customer needs and communicate insights to demand planning teams
• Manage stock rotation and ensure adherence to sell-by dates according to company policies and procedures
• Maintain high merchandising standards throughout the day while minimizing waste
• Ensure the deli department consistently meets operational and presentation standards
