About the Role

As the Territory Sales & Application Manager, you will drive sales growth and provide critical application support for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics within the Cape Town region. This role balances commercial strategy with technical expertise, ensuring customers receive best-in-class solutions while maintaining compliance and fostering long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Growth & Strategy

    • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve revenue targets.
    • Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, customer visits, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to Contract negotiation and order fulfillment.
  • Application & Technical Leadership

    • Deliver product training to customers and internal teams, ensuring excellence in system operation.
    • Provide hands-on application troubleshooting and support for diagnostics equipment.
    • Organize workshops, demos, and academic events to showcase product capabilities.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with laboratories, hospitals, and distributors.
    • Coordinate with service and logistics teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
    • Monitor compliance, inventory, and post-sale support to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Excellence

    • Maintain accurate records in CRM (Salesforce) and forecast pipelines proactively.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to align sales, marketing, and service initiatives.
    • Travel extensively (80%) across the territory and internationally as needed.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences, Clinical Pathology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven track record in IVD/medical device sales and application support (5+ years).
  • Strong technical aptitude with experience in laboratory workflows.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and data-driven decision-making.

Preferred Experience

  • 7–10 years in corporate sales within diagnostics or healthcare.
  • Experience in curriculum design, training delivery, and lab management.
  • Familiarity with Oracle, SharePoint, and financial tools like Business Objects.
