Job Description
The Engineer – Rail Design will develop designs across project stages, coordinate with teams, and produce design documentation. This role involves guiding Graduate Engineers, providing input to CAD/BIM technicians, and executing detailed engineering tasks, including calculations and tests.
Technical Excellence:
- Contributes to technical proposals and develops designs using engineering data, software, and industry standards.
- Leverages discipline and interdisciplinary BIM models for enhanced design accuracy.
- Ensures high-quality outputs by adhering to project timelines and design best practices.
- Participates in interdisciplinary reviews, including virtual walkthroughs and clash detection.
- Creates detailed engineering deliverables such as calculations, specifications, sketches, drawings, and reports.
- Identifies and resolves technical discrepancies while adhering to budget and schedule.
- Coordinates with other discipline Engineers to ensure design continuity.
- Supports BIM/CAD teams in maintaining model accuracy and technical standards.
- Engages with authorities to secure scheme approvals.
Client Relationship Management:
- Participates in client meetings to discuss project requirements and present design solutions.
- Assists in developing bids and proposals to support business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience.
- Registered as a Candidate Engineer or Professional Engineer with ECSA.
