Sales Representative – Value Logistics
Purpose of the Role
The Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, acquiring, growing, and retaining key customers within the Free State region. This role focuses on building strategic customer relationships across spaza shops, forecourts, and wholesalers, driving sales and margin growth, and managing debtor performance within the customer portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition & Growth

Identify and onboard new customers within the assigned region in line with monthly and quarterly targets

Grow and retain the existing customer base to achieve or exceed sales volume and margin objectives

Expand product penetration by introducing new lines and value-added solutions
Relationship Management & Customer Service

Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular engagement

Conduct a defined number of customer visits per week, including order-taking and product presentations
-
Deliver high service levels by resolving customer queries within agreed turnaround times

Monitor customer satisfaction and report feedback to management for continuous improvement
Sales Execution & Performance Management

Execute sales strategies, promotions, and marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives

Track and report campaign performance and sales results accurately

Ensure consistent achievement of agreed KPIs and sales targets
Credit & Debtors Management

Manage customer credit responsibly to maintain debtor days within agreed limits
-
Drive on-time payments and support effective debt control within the customer base
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience within the FMCG environment
-
Proven success as a Sales Representative with a strong performance record

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel extensively

Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and mobile sales technology
