Purpose of the Job
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing and expanding a diverse customer portfolio, including retail, commercial, and industrial clients. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, strengthening existing client relationships, delivering tailored solutions, and achieving sales targets while supporting overall company growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across multiple market sectors
- Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with existing customers to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business
- Achieve and exceed defined sales targets and performance KPIs
- Present and promote company services to prospective and current clients
- Develop customer-focused solutions and effectively address objections
- Manage customer credit accounts, payment terms, and follow up on outstanding payments
- Monitor and report on customer feedback, competitor activities, and market trends
- Implement sales strategies aligned with company marketing initiatives
- Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly sales reports
- Follow assigned route plans and ensure scheduled client visits are completed on time
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 5–10 years of relevant sales experience
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
