About the Role
Pepkor Vacancies is seeking a motivated Supervisor to support the Store Manager in driving sales, managing stock, and controlling expenses to achieve store profitability. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership skills, retail experience, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent
• 3–5 years’ retail experience as a Shop Assistant
• Computer literate
• Strong communication skills
• Additional qualifications in retail or business are advantageous

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities
• Accurate and efficient till operation skills
• High standard of work on the sales floor, with attention to quality and housekeeping standards
• Initiative to complete tasks proactively
• Strong attendance and punctuality record
• Commitment to applying company values, policies, and procedures consistently
• Understanding of visual merchandising strategy, stock intensity, and SKU availability
• Effective planning, delegation, and team leadership skills
• Personal integrity and high stress tolerance
• Ability to work trading hours of the shopping centre
• Knowledge of receiving procedures and maintaining stockroom layout and specifications

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Profitability

• Assist the Store Manager in maximising profits and achieving sales targets
• Support merchandising and stock loss management initiatives

Financial & Administrative Support

• Assist with financial processes and execution
• Provide administrative and management support
• Maintain accurate stockholding and ensure adherence to company policies

Team & Human Resource Support

• Support team management and delegation of tasks
• Assist with human resource processes and team development

Operational Excellence

• Ensure stockroom and sales floor are maintained to company standards
• Provide information and support to enable efficient store operations
