About the Role
The Manager Bakery is responsible for optimising the performance of the Bakery by ensuring in-store execution aligns with business strategy, guidelines, and standards. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, technical expertise, and the ability to build long-term relationships based on trust. You will be driven to achieve challenging goals and targets while maintaining high standards in product quality, customer service, and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 and/or NQF 3 Bakery qualification
- Experience as a bakery supervisor or bakery manager, or relieved in this capacity for a minimum of 6 months
- Proven bakery experience is essential

Key Responsibilities
Planning
- Implement in-store execution within the Bakery department to meet business objectives
Store Standards
- Set and monitor operational and product standards in the Bakery
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Administration
- Complete all departmental administration including scheduling, leave requests, invoices, and compliance tasks according to standards
Merchandising Standards
- Ensure merchandising standards and sales promotions are executed according to company guidelines
Customer Focus
- Identify customer needs and plan Bakery offerings accordingly
People Management
- Manage Bakery staff to maintain safety, merchandising, customer service, and security standards
