About the Role
The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for leading the ticket sales and passenger service team to ensure exceptional customer experience, operational efficiency, and strict compliance with company policies and aviation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist passengers with ticket sales, bookings, and flight changes.
- Manage and resolve customer queries related to delays, cancellations, and other operational challenges.
- Clearly explain procedures, policies, and service processes to customers.
- Supervise Ticket Sales Representatives, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Ensure full compliance with FlySafair policies and procedures, including pricing, ticketing, and refund regulations.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Oversee daily operations of the ticket sales department, including staff scheduling and shift management.
- Ensure all ticket transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and without discrepancies.
- Maintain a visible and accessible presence to support both staff and passengers.
Job Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential).
- Travel Degree or Diploma (Advantageous).
- 2–4 years’ experience within an Airline or Aviation environment, including Passenger Services, Ramp Services, or Baggage Handling.
- No criminal or credit record.
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and shift schedules.
- Strong understanding of customer service excellence principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong conflict resolution abilities.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
