The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the capability to manage store resources efficiently while maintaining a customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in store management within a retail environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proven management and leadership skills with the ability to develop and guide team members
  • Ability to plan, organize, and control store operations effectively
  • Computer literacy
  • Working knowledge of budgeting and financial management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • High level of integrity and initiative

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales and profit targets through effective management of store resources
  • Protect company assets including stock, cash, physical assets, staff, and customers
  • Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales and lay-by targets for staff and monitor performance against these targets
  • Ensure store layout and merchandising standards align with company guidelines
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience
  • Maintain accurate administration related to stockroom activities, markdowns, and lay-bys
  • Ensure merchandise is replenished efficiently and maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the store
  • Manage, recruit, train, and develop staff to maintain a customer-focused and productive team environment
