About the Role:
Our client is offering an exciting EE opportunity for a Broker Consultant. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in the insurance industry, particularly in broker consulting, and a passion for building client relationships.
Requirements:
- Matric
- NQF level 6 qualification or a 3-year relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- RE5 Regulatory Examinations for representatives
- 60 FAIS credits or a full FAIS-recognized qualification
- Class of Business and Product-specific training in category 1 life and friendly societies
- 12+ years of Continuous Professional Development per CPD cycle
- Knowledge of insurance legislation
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Sound knowledge of long-term insurance or employee benefits products
- Knowledge of underwriting processes
- 5+ years’ experience in the insurance industry, specifically in group funeral or group risk markets
- Broker consulting experience, including working with trade unions and funeral parlours
- Experience in establishing contacts and relationships with decision-makers
- Proven sales track record
Key Performance Areas:
- Source and secure new business opportunities with corporates, unions, churches, and individual clients
- Identify and onboard new brokers while maintaining strong relationships
- Develop and nurture client relationships across all business levels
- Ensure smooth post-sales processes for clients
- Stay informed about competitor products, services, and industry trends
- Address client queries and provide detailed sales and service support
- Engage with clients to uphold company values and drive growth
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences
