About the Role
Pick n Pay Careers is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. This role plays a critical part in supporting business performance through accurate financial insights, strong governance, and continuous process improvement.

Minimum Requirements

• B.Com Financial or Management Accounting or equivalent qualification
• Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) or equivalent will be advantageous

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP ERP, EDP, BPC, or BPP

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and comprehensive reporting packs
• Drive budgeting and forecasting processes across the business
• Develop and deliver presentations for senior leadership, translating financial data into actionable insights
• Conduct detailed variance analysis, trend assessments, and root cause investigations
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, IFRS standards, and internal controls
• Identify financial control gaps and implement corrective measures
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support divisional financial objectives
• Evaluate and improve management accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Enhance reporting tools and outputs to align with evolving business requirements
• Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and related duties as required
