Minimum Requirements
Essential

Matric / Grade 12

Willing and able to work retail hours

Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Advantageous

Previous experience in a beauty or cosmetics environment
Key Responsibilities
Stock Control
-
Ensure stock on shelves is within sell-by dates
-
Maintain full product range availability at all times
-
Participate in stock takes when required
-
Keep the storeroom organised, neat, and tidy
-
Report low stock levels, damaged, expired, or out-of-stock items to management
-
Rotate stock regularly in line with Dis-Chem stock control procedures
-
Identify and report damaged or expired stock immediately
-
Flatten and remove boxes to designated areas after unpacking stock
-
Replenish merchandise promptly to support maximum sales
Merchandising
-
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and visual merchandising throughout the store and window displays
-
Present attractive and appealing product displays
-
Demonstrate products through makeovers, cosmetic demonstrations, and promotional activities
-
Ensure correct pricing and labelling of merchandise
-
Work towards achieving sales targets for various brands and vendors
-
Follow stock layout and merchandising principles
-
Ensure cosmetics displays are fully stocked and neatly faced
-
Assist with loading and off-loading of stock when required
-
Report all pricing discrepancies to management
Customer Service

Provide friendly, helpful, and professional service to all customers
-
Process payments at the Cosmetics Department point of sale
-
Offer product advice while respecting customers’ brand preferences
-
Handle and resolve customer stock queries efficiently
