Senior Business Analyst

About the Program:

Job Purpose:
The Senior Business Analyst – Finance is responsible for identifying business needs, analyzing requirements, and proposing solutions that deliver value within Clicks Group’s retail sector. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, supporting projects across SAP S4 Hana, BAU requests, and other departmental initiatives. The Senior BA also provides leadership, mentorship, and contributes to the Business Analysis Centre of Excellence (BACoE).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and strategize the approach to business analysis work.
• Facilitate stakeholder sessions, including workshops and interviews.
• Elicit, analyze, and document requirements across the retail value chain.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solutions and support implementation.
• Document as-is and to-be processes, including process improvements and gap analysis.
• Manage UAT, supporting testing and validating solutions to ensure requirements are met.
• Create and maintain quality documentation, including BRDs, user stories with acceptance criteria, process maps, and impact assessments.
• Manage requirements traceability and provide input to business cases pre-project.
• Support post-implementation activities, including demand requests, BAU, and benefits tracking.
• Contribute to BACoE and adhere to BA governance standards.
• Provide advice, mentorship, and coaching to junior BAs.
• Lead, supervise, and develop BA teams while exemplifying Clicks values.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analysis, or related field.
• Business Analysis certification (e.g., AdBA, IIBA)
• SAP certifications (desirable)

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years as a Business Analyst, with proven retail experience advantageous.
• Experience across the retail value chain including supply chain, buying, planning, warehousing, store operations, POS, e-commerce, and customer service (advantageous).
• Experience in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project environments.
• Track record of retail system implementations, SAP S4 Hana (FI/CO), and major transformational projects.
• Managerial or supervisory experience, including mentoring/coaching junior BAs (advantageous).

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Knowledge of retail trends, technology, and consumer behavior.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and understanding of retail KPIs.
• Experience with BPMN and SAP S4 Hana.
• Stakeholder influencing and collaboration skills.
• Supply chain knowledge (advantageous).
