Introduction
Clicks Group Careers is seeking a driven and customer-focused Pharmacy Manager to lead dispensary and clinic operations, ensuring service excellence and the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care. The role is responsible for achieving sales and compliance targets while building a competitive advantage for the brand through strong leadership and operational excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Objectives:
Pharmacy Operations & Patient Care
- Deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care, including accurate and safe dispensing, generic substitution, and professional counselling in line with company standards, Good Pharmacy Practice, and the legal scope of practice as governed by South African Pharmacy Council.
- Ensure ethical practice, regulatory compliance, and responsible provision of medicines and healthcare advice.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Manage and control all dispensary operations, including stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration in line with merchandising standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain full compliance with professional standards, legal frameworks, and company policies.
Financial & Business Performance
- Drive the financial viability of the dispensary through effective expense management, achievement of clinic and dispensary targets, and proactive performance management.
- Analyse performance metrics and implement improvement plans to maximise profitability and sustainability.
People Leadership & Development
- Build a competent, motivated team through effective recruitment, leadership, coaching, and ongoing development of pharmacists, learners, and interns.
- Foster a high-performance culture aligned with business goals and customer service excellence.
Workforce Planning & Administration
- Schedule staff in line with labour policies and operational models to ensure optimal coverage across departments.
- Ensure accurate time and attendance tracking and completion of all employee records in line with HR requirements.
Customer Experience & Loyalty
- Lead customer service initiatives that deliver exceptional patient experiences, build loyalty, and drive participation in customer loyalty programmes.
- Promote professional, compassionate care that enhances trust and long-term customer relationships.
Integrated Healthcare Delivery
- Partner closely with clinic and healthcare aisle teams to provide an integrated, end-to-end healthcare offering to customers.
- Drive cohesion, consistency, and collaboration between store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
