About the Program:
Tekkie Town is seeking a talented Digital Content Specialist to create, manage, and optimise digital content across social media, digital campaigns, and direct marketing channels. This role is central to enhancing brand awareness, driving website traffic, and generating leads while collaborating with the wider creative and marketing teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communication, E-commerce, or a related field
  • Digital content courses across platforms are advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in digital and social media content creation, including production and coordination of contributors
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and engagement strategies
  • Proficient with Apple Mac and general computer skills

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and Microsoft/Google Office Suite
  • Skilled in digital design programs and video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools (Brandwatch, Later.com, Hootsuite)
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (Salesforce advantageous)
  • Familiarity with Google Suite platforms, basic SEO principles, and Google Analytics
  • Strong content creation, copywriting, proofing, and editing skills
  • Highly self-motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Analytical and numerical skills for budgeting
  • Respectful, trustworthy, accountable, and passionate about marketing, advertising, and technology

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, create, and optimise engaging digital content across multiple channels
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align content with brand objectives
  • Edit, proof, and refine content to maintain high-quality standards
  • Schedule and manage social media posts and campaigns
  • Analyse content performance and make data-driven recommendations
  • Apply creativity and analytical skills to meet team and business objectives
  • Ensure all digital content supports lead generation, brand awareness, and audience engagement
