Job Description
Standard Bank Careers is seeking a professional Executive Financial Planner to deliver specialized financial and estate planning advice to Private and Business Banking clients. The role focuses on supporting customers within the Private Banking Signature, Premium, Growth, and Commercial Banking segments by helping them manage and achieve their complex financial objectives.
The Executive Financial Planner will review clients’ financial profiles and design tailored financial strategies that align with their long-term goals. This includes advising on investment solutions, long-term insurance products, and estate planning while ensuring that all financial recommendations meet regulatory and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
• NQF Level 6–7 qualification such as an Advanced Diploma or Degree
• A minimum of 120 credits or a qualification aligned with FAIS and FSCA regulatory requirements
• RE 5 certification for Representatives
Experience
• 3–5 years of experience in a sales-oriented environment, particularly in intermediary services related to banking and insurance categories
• Strong knowledge of long-term insurance products
• Good understanding of banking products, processes, and operational systems
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
