Purpose of the Role
The Forecourt Sales Representative is responsible for driving and expanding sales within petrol station forecourts and convenience retail outlets. This role focuses on managing high-volume environments, ensuring product availability, and building strong relationships to maximize sales performance within the beverage and snack categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow sales accounts within the forecourt and convenience retail segment
- Manage and promote private label products effectively
- Deliver high-frequency service to maintain product availability and merchandising standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with site managers and forecourt staff
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment to prevent stock shortages
- Execute promotional campaigns and manage point-of-sale materials at forecourt locations
- Track performance of fast-moving products and recommend improvements to product assortment
- Provide insights into consumer buying behavior within forecourt environments
- Follow structured route plans, ensuring consistent visits and adherence to delivery schedules
- Support credit control processes and reconcile on-site transactions and payments
- Prepare and present detailed reports on sales activities and forecourt performance
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 5–10 years of relevant sales experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in forecourt or convenience retail sales
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven sales performance track record over the past 12 months
