Job Description

Purpose of the Role:
The Security Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all site-specific security requirements are met efficiently and professionally, in line with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The role oversees the deployment of Security Officers, manages daily operations, and ensures that security services are delivered to the highest standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
  • PSIRA Grade A/B registered and accredited, current
  • No criminal record or pending cases
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable personal transport
  • Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in site supervision or security management
  • Proven staff management experience
  • Computer literate
  • Physically fit and in good health
  • Reside in the greater Boksburg/Benoni area or willing to relocate at own cost

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high-quality security service delivery
  • Provide daily feedback and liaise with management and clients
  • Compile, distribute, and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
  • Prepare and manage Incident, Accident, and Investigation reports, including obtaining statements
  • Ensure timely posting of Security Officers for full site coverage across day and night shifts per SLA
  • Monitor compliance of Security Officers with contractual requirements
  • Manage staff discipline and attend CCMA or Labour Court proceedings when required
  • Evaluate service levels continuously and make recommendations for improvements
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of client premises to identify risks and implement preventive measures
  • Audit and verify access registers daily and generate exception reports

  • Strong planning, organizational, and administrative abilities
  • Effective interpersonal and client liaison skills
  • Experience in investigation techniques and report writing
  • Willingness to work flexible or extended hours as needed
  • Ability to work under pressure independently
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and strategic planning skills
