What will you do?

1. Strategy Development and Business Planning

  • Collaborate with the Area Manager to translate the Provincial strategy into actionable Branch strategies, setting clear targets, objectives, and metrics.
  • Provide insights for monthly, quarterly, and annual business planning for branches within the region.

2. Sales Delivery

Sales & Operational Effectiveness

  • Communicate the Branch strategy, sales targets, and KPIs to sales teams, ensuring alignment with Key Result Areas.
  • Work with business owners to implement efficient systems, processes, and technology for optimal performance.

Compliance, Quality & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to compliance and quality standards across the Branch.
  • Align business practices with the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) framework and FSCA regulations.

3. People Management

  • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to build the necessary capacity and skills to achieve sales targets.
  • Oversee talent management, performance, development, and operational HR practices for direct reports.
  • Support staff accreditation and professional growth within the Branch.

4. Monthly Planning & Reporting

  • Monitor sales performance, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
  • Deliver monthly reports on sales and team activities, using insights to optimize future planning.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Identify key stakeholders (internal and external) and develop engagement strategies to maintain strong relationships.
  • Support Sales Managers in resolving escalated queries and preventing recurrences.

What will make you successful in this role?

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12
  • Degree or 3-year Diploma in Finance, Marketing, or Business Management
  • Full qualification (120 Credits at NQF Level 4, NQF Level 5 advantageous) as per FSCA-recognized qualifications
  • RE5 and RE1 certification
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience, including 3 years in sales management
  • Insurance sales experience in the entry-level market is advantageous
