About the Program:
LEGiT, a division of Pepkor Trading, is seeking an innovative and commercially driven E-Commerce Lead to grow and manage our online presence. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker passionate about digital retail, who can drive online revenue, optimise performance, and deliver exceptional customer experiences across multiple e-commerce platforms. You will be central to shaping and executing the e-commerce strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve sustainable growth and innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Systems, E-commerce, or a related field

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 5–7 years of progressive e-commerce experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership or senior management role
  • Proven success in driving online revenue growth and improving key e-commerce metrics
  • Extensive experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify Plus, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WooCommerce, Stock to Shop
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels: SEO, SEM, Social Media, Email Marketing, and Content Marketing
  • Up-to-date understanding of e-commerce best practices, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Proficiency with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and strong data interpretation skills
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and conversion rate optimisation (CRO)
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, payment gateways, and logistics solutions
  • Working knowledge of IT systems and website development related to e-commerce
  • Deep understanding of consumer behaviour and online purchasing psychology
  • Awareness of relevant e-commerce laws and regulations (CPA, POPIA, ECT Act)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term e-commerce strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Analyse performance data, identify trends, and turn insights into actionable strategies
  • Continuously improve online performance, customer experience, and conversion rates
  • Manage multiple projects effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate persuasively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactively identify challenges and implement scalable solutions
  • Maintain strong commercial focus with emphasis on profitability and ROI
  • Leverage e-commerce platforms, digital tools, and web technologies to optimise operations
  • Adapt quickly to change and thrive in an evolving digital landscape
